Welcome to Mrs. Greene’s Literacy Coaching page!
Hi! My name is Mrs. Pamela Greene and I have been a member of the Saint Michael’s school faculty for the last 14 years. I possess a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a concentration in remedial reading from Bridgewater State University. In addition, I am a certified instructor in the Orton-Gillinghman method of phonological instruction. Over the last several decades I have taught a wide range of grade levels and subjects, and I'm currently working in the capacity of Literacy Coach/Interventionist.
My job as Literacy Coach is to assist classroom teachers re: methods, materials, pacing, and adherence to literacy curriculum guidelines. I work closely with teachers in their classrooms and mirror their instruction within small groups of students who are in need of more individualized instruction. In addition, I meet privately with struggling students who need intervention away from the classroom setting. My children and grandchild are all products of Catholic education, and as such, I am a strong proponent for the solid academic and religious training at which we expect here at Saint Michael’s School.
